At 0623, it's 52 and we are packed for New York City.
We were out of the house at 0745 headed for the kennel.
By 0810, we were on the road.
We pulled into the BWI train station at 1015.
We found seats in the terminal until a man smelling of urine sat down next to us.
We moved to benches outside in the sun.
Train #84 was 10 minutes late.
When we boarded, there were no seats together, so we grabbed two singles.
After a few minutes, we were in downtown Baltimore where a few people disembarked allowing us to secure two seats together.
Enroute to Wilmington, a 40 minute leg, I worked my way 4 cars forward and purchased a scotch and Soda and a bourbon and ginger (8@).
Wilmington at 1242. Philadelphia at 1304. Trenton at 1336. Newark, NJ at 1408.
We arrived at Penn Station about 10 minutes late, 1430.
After a harrowing cab ride (is there any other kind) we checked in to room 454 of ROW NYC at 700 8th Avenue.
At 1730, we walked south to 44th street and east to Sardi's.
Leaving Sardi's we walked 100 feet to the St. James Theatre and "Something Rotten."
The show was excellent abd the audience very receptive.
Our impression was many had seen the show before.
That's impressive at $200/seat.
The show let out at 2245 (as did 3 neighboring theatres) and we walked back to the hotel.
By 2300, we were down for the night.
