At 0655, it's 70. I was down by 0830 for a meeting of the Coordinating Judges and we reviewed the music to be played for the tournament. I then moved to Room "D" and ran a 90 minute practice sessions for any team wanting the experience. We did some practice questions, discussed the rules and answered questions from the teams. At 1030, it was time for the large-group orientation. Lisa gave tournament information and, along with other readers, we answered questions from the audience. The buffet tables appeared and it was time for a very nice lunch. At 1230, I returned to Room "D" and served as Coordinating Judge for a Round 1, Division 3 match. At 1430, I graded team questions for a Round 2, Division 2 match while Gail coughed, sneezed and blew her nose for two hours. A May cold may be on the way. Finally, at 1630, I was the Reader for a Round 3, Division 1 match. We finished at 1800. I collected the day's scores, for posting here, and returned to the room. At 1900, I headed for the Contemporary Resort. The Resort monorail now has bag check and metal detectors for guests headed for the Magic Kingdom, alleviating the huge mobs at the Magic Kingdom gate. Those security points have now been moved back to screen guests arriving by boat or bus, allowing the monorail riders to bypass security and directly enter the park. At 1930, I took the elevator to 15 and the California Grill. I took the elevator back to the 4th floor, through security to the monorail and back to the Grand Floridian. At 2245, it's 79.
