We walked out to Narcoossee’s and were seated promptly on the north side of the dining room; excellent seats for the fireworks, but they were delayed for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Lew started with a Beefeater Martini (9.25) and I enjoyed an excellent Maker’s Mark Manhattan (11). I selected the Artisan Romaine Wedge (13) with warm bacon vinaigrette, herbed mascarpone, tomato, avocado, onion and parmesan. Skipping an appetizer, Lew moved on to the Whole Lobster (72) served with Zellwood Corn Soufflé with malted popcorn sauce and asparagus. With the same accoutrements, I picked the pair of butter-poached Maine lobster tails (67). We elected to bring much of the shellfish back to the room, but finished with the Narcoossee’s Nutcracker (11.25), decaf with Kahlua, Baileys Irish Cream, Frangelico, Svedka Vodka and whipped cream for Lew, and the Nutty Irishman (11.25) of decaf with Baileys Irish Cream, Frangelico and Whipped Cream for me. |
