We expect to be in Brunswick, GA, all day, with tours available to Jekyll and St. Simons Islands.
We've signed up for the Sea Turtle Center & Jekyll Island Tram Tour in the morning, and the Lady Jane Shrimp Boat experience in the afternoon.

At 0608, it’s 61 in Brunswick, GA. After breakfast, we boarded a bus to Jekyll Island. First we toured the Sea Turtle Recovery Center and then had a tram tour of the homes of the rich and famous from the 1900’s in the Jekyll Island State Park. We returned in time for a lunch of Carolina Oyster Stew and Chopped Shrimp Salad. At 1415, we boarded a bus to the other side of town where we boarded the Lady Jane for a three hour experience shrimping in the Brunswick Estuaries. We caught, examined, and sometimes held a variety of seafood from fish to shrimp to crab. At 1645, we were back on the boat. At 1730, we enjoyed the cocktail party before going down to dinner at 1830. We both started with the Baked James River Oysters with blue crab, mushrooms, ham and green onions. Lew followed this with the Seared Red Snapper Oscar with crab, sweet potato pilaf, asparagus and wild onion bernaise, and I selected the Maple Glazed Seared Breast of Duck with carrots and sweet potato risotto. I skipped dessert, but Lew had to try the Bread and Butter Pudding. We went back to the room, and by 2120, we were in bed with the glass door open and 66.
