Our eighth cruise with American Cruise Lines is down the Ohio River from Pittsburgh to St. Louis.

At 0600, it’s 72 in Paducah, KY.
Emails with Roy Hensel confirmed he’ll be meeting us and showing us around Paducah.
A phone call to ACL confirmed approval to have him enjoy lunch on board.
For breakfast, Lew had quiche and I had lemon pancakes.
At 0900, Roy took us on a tour of Paducah, including a stop at his daughter’s house to meet his grandson.
We returned in time to relax in the Sky Lounge before lunch.
Roy and I both started with the Buckeye Summer Salad of apples, goat cheese, pecans, and dried cherries while Lew started with the Cream of Cauliflower Soup with bacon.
She moved on to the Pecan Turkey Salad Sandwich while Roy had Bayou Scallop Gumbo and I had the BBQ Beef Brisket Po’Boy.
After lunch we said our goodbyes to Roy and he went back on Ambassador duty.
We had naps before the afternoon cocktails.
At dinner, we both had the Roasted Pepper Bisque with goat cheese crostini.
I followed with Blackened Stuffed Pork Tenderloin with roasted potatoes, pan-roasted vegetables and red pepper sauce and Lew had Mustard and Brown Sugar-glazed Salmon.
At 2200, we’re headed back downriver a little late as the band was slow in getting off the boat.
At 2230, it’s 77.
