This is the 17th End-of-Year newsletter we have composed using the technology of the day, including links. Strictly speaking, once again, this is not a "letter." Those are missives in a pleasant type face, on fancy holiday "paper", carefully folded and sent through snail-mail with something attached called a "postage stamp!"(55 cents).

Our daily activities are all listed in our 2019 Journal. The year's milestones and highlights, however, are summarized below. Distribution is accomplished by sending the link in an email and modifications occur in response to questions/suggestions from friends and family. Click here to send me a note.

Status
Tom is 73 and Lew is 70. Buddy, our beagle, is 12. We've been retired for 11 years and, since May, we're living in Wyomissing, PA.
Health
Issues
At our ages, I suppose annual letters start with health updates. At 73, my prostate cancer isn't going to go away; it's just not very important. Lydia has no health issues and will certainly outlive me. Buddy has his congenital heart defect and is on borrowed time.
Travel We started the year with a week at Disney World in March. In early April, I was invited back to the Commissioner's Academic Challenge, which was a lot of fun. Late April took us to Wyomissing for Easter, and to buy a house, and in May, we moved from Maryland to Pennsylvania, 8/10 of a mile from Sal, Kate, Dominic, and Leo. June took the family to Disney World for a week. In August, we were aboard the Queen of the Mississippi for our 9th cruise with American Cruise Lines, this time on the Upper Mississippi from St. Louis to St. Paul, with good friend Patsy. The Labor Day weekend had us in NYC, more specifically, Broadway. Late September had us aboard the Pearl Mist from Portland, Maine, to Quebec City. Finally, we were back at Disney World in November, ending our travel for 2019.
Renovation Before occupying the new house, we had the floor in the kitchen and library replaced. Soon after, the tiny shower in the master bath was rebuilt. Cabinets in the kitchen and shelving in the library are pending.
Theater Opportunities to perform have not surfaced in Pennsylvania, but I do maintain Community Players of Salisbury's website.
Family
Visits
Bill came east from Denver for an August birthday visit.
2020 In 2020, Lyd and I will go to WDW in March and November for holidays, and in April for the Commissioner's Academic Challenge. We're meeting SKDL in NYC for Broadway weekends in May and September. In July, we're taking a cruise with American Cruise Lines among the New England Islands.

Merry Christmas, 2019 and Happy New Year, 2020
