Margaret's recipe is a family favorite and is easily made a day or two in advance.
Margaret uses a plain crust and original Reddi Whip, but Lyd prefers the chocolate crust and the chocolate Reddi Whip.
2013-11-23: Lyd changed to a new procedure.

Ingredients: |
1 Graham Cracker Crust, regular or chocolate
1 bar (4 oz.) German Chocolate
8 oz. Cool Whip
4 oz Cream cheese
|
1/3 cup milk
2 Tablespoons Sugar
Reddi Whip, regular or chocolate (optional)
|
|
Procedures: |
1. Soften the cream cheese on the counter over night.
2. Melt the chocolate bar in half the milk over low heat.
3. In another bowl, combine the remainder of the milk with the cream cheese and sugar.
4. Add the melted chocolate mixture and fold in the cool whip.
5. Pour the mixture into the pie crust.
