4 BEAN SALAD
There is the older, classic, version. There is one more to Lyd's liking.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup Splenda OR 1.5 oz Sucralose
1/2 cup Salad Oil
1/2 cup Cider Vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1 16oz can cut green beans, drained
1 16oz can cut wax beans, drained
1 16oz can red kidney beans
1 16oz can Chick Peas
1 cup chopped Vidalia onion
Procedures:
In a large bowl, whisk together the 1st 4 ingredients.
Add the remaining ingredients, mix well and chill at least 6 hours
Notes:
2020-02-08: Made with sugar, half went home with Kate.
2019-07-20: Initially it wasn’t very good until Lyd added the vinegar I must have omitted.
2018-06-23: with a whole Vidalia onion.
2017-01-27: with no sweet onion, I substituted 1/2 red onion and used 1/2 cup sugar.
2015-09-12: 3/4 teaspoon of sucralose equals 2 teaspoons of sugar or Splenda. Therefore, this recipe was adjusted to have only 9 teaspoons of the sucralose which is 1.5 oz.
