BEST SAUERKRAUT EVER 2012-01-28
We found this at, what else(?), www.sauerkrautrecipes.com It did not live up to its name!
Ingredients:
1 lb fresh sauerkraut
2 slices bacon
1 onion
1/4 stick butter
Procedures:
Rinse and drain the kraut.
Squeeze well to remove water.
Fry bacon until crisp and crumble in the food processor and sprinkle over the kraut.
Saute the diced onions in the bacon drippings until golden brown. Add the butter and cook until melted. Pour over the kraut.
Bake, covered, at 350o for a least an hour.
Notes:
2012-01-27: This "Best Sauerkraut Ever" ---- wasn't! My Wine Kraut is much better.
