Background
The hotel car was unavailable, so we took a cab, during rush hour, to L'Auberge Saint-Gabriel. We selected this restaurant based on the recommendation of Heather, from Calgary, who was our server at Le Cellier in March. We selected a bottle of Orofino Riesling '11 (83). Lyd started with Leek Vinaigrette (14) soft boiled egg and snow crab. I had the foie gras terrine (16) with seasonal chutney and brioche bread. Lyd had the lobster au gratin (44) with lettuce, French fries and homemade mayonnaise. I selected Auberge Bouillabaisse (33) with rouille and country bread. With no room for dessert, the restaurant called a cab to return us to the hotel, through Chinatown.
