Scene 1: Hertz: Kate drove us to the Hertz office on Lancaster and we secured a car to drive to SBY. Around 1100, we were on the road, with me driving. There was a light rain and the wipers were on intermittent sweep all the way through Pennsylvania and into Delaware, down DE 1, to Camden, south of Dover. A text from Linda reported that American Airlines wanted $200 to drop her PHL-SBY flight and would cancel all flights if she was a no-show on that leg. Scene 2: Applebees: We stopped for lunch. Lew had iced tea and an Asian Chicken Salad, and I had a bun-less burger and a bodacious margarita as my driving was finished. Scene 3: US13: Lew took us the rest of the way down to Salisbury. We arrived at the airport just before 4, dropped off the rental car, picked up our car and then headed for Weeping Willow Kennel to secure Buddy. We were home at 1630. |
