We're making several kinds of cookies, using recipes handed down through Lew's mom and maternal-grandmother.
Monday:
At 0830 I started by cooking the sugar into nougat.
After a visit to the liquor store, we started baking at 10 with Walnut Cookies.
We made 2.5 trays and they turned out quite well.
Next, we moved on to the nougat cookies, preparing 2 trays of these chewy delights.
We finished the day's baking with a Hot Milk Sponge Cake which was so moist we enjoyed a sample without even using plates.
