This is the 21st End-of-Year newsletter we have composed using the technology of the day, including links. Strictly speaking, once again, this is not a "letter." Those are missives in a pleasant type face, on fancy holiday "paper", carefully folded and sent through snail-mail with something attached called a "postage stamp!"(66 cents going to 68 in January). If you want an historical look back, last year's letter is here.

Our daily activities are all listed in our 2023 Journal. The year's milestones and highlights, however, are summarized below. Distribution is accomplished by sending the link in an email and modifications occur in response to questions/suggestions from friends and family. Click here to send me a note.

Status
Tom is 77 and Lew is 74. We've been retired for 15 years and, since May, 2019. we're living in Wyomissing, PA, 1/4 mile from Sal, Kate, D, and Leo (SKDL). We lost Buddy, our Beagle in January, 2021, but Holly, a King Charles Spaniel, joined us on Christmas Eve.
Health
Issues
At our ages, I suppose annual letters start with health updates. My prostate cancer isn't going to go away; it's just not very important. In March, I was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, or AFib. I'm on a diuretic and anti-coagulant, but it doesn't have much of an impact on my activities. Lydia has no major health issues and will certainly outlive me.
Travel We had a little more travel this year. Our first trip Disney World was in March, followed by another weekend at Baltimore's Inner Harbor with SKDL. We skipped The Commissioner's Academic Challenge in April for cardiac reasons and because it was moved off-property thanks to the Disney-DeSantis War. We were back at Disney World in September. Finally, in November, we boarded the American Constitution for our 12th cruise with American Cruise Lines, this time for the Revolutionary War Cruise out of Baltimore.
Renovation Last year, we replaced the siding on the front and east sides of the house, so this year, we covered the front and west sides of the house with stone.
Theater I still maintain the Community Players of Salisbury's website.
Family
Sal continues web design, working out of the home, and Kate continues practicing dermatology. Dominic (or "D", as he is known to one and all) is 15 and in the 9th grade at Wyomissing Junior Senior High, and still runs for Cross Country. Leo is 12 in the 6th grade at West Reading Intermediate Center. He's involved with the high school drama club and starred in the youth version of Once Upon a Mattress in February. With our Zoom account, we still host family game night, monthly, for the Ferrarello extended family, and on Saturdays, Tom was the Clue Master for a weekly Clue game, in EPCOT's World Showcase, for the extended Laws family and friends through September.
2024 In 2024, we will go to WDW 3 or 4 times. Our first in March, followed by The Commissioner's Academic Challenge, (if it's back on-property.) With SKDL, we'll hit Disney in June. In August, we're taking a cruise with Pearl Seas Cruises through The Great Lakes. Lyd and I will have our Disney fall holiday, in September.

Merry Christmas, 2023 and Happy New Year, 2024
