This would appear to be the 8th End-of-Year newsletter we have composed using the technology of the day, including links. Strictly speaking, once again, this is not a "letter." Those are missives in a pleasant type face, on fancy holiday "paper", carefully folded and sent through snail-mail with something attached called a "postage stamp!"(44 cents, I think)

Dominic is still the high point of our lives. As doting grandparents, we do keep a record, periodically, of his developmental pictures, though we've stop celebrating monthly, now that he's had his 2nd birthday.

Our daily activities are listed in our 2010 Journal. The year's milestones and highlights are as follows:
When we retired, folks asked us why we were moving away from sunny Florida to a land of ice and snow. The Eastern Shore doesn't usually get that much snow, actually. This year, we did! We had heavy snows, which required we be dugout, on 12/19/09, 1/30, 2/5, 2/10 and finally on Christmas Day.
As we continue to make this house into our own, we renovated the upstairs bath room, and the kitchen. We also added "Tom's Porch" as a nice place to sit outside and enjoy the rain, and redid the yard. Finally, we did further renovations in the kitchen.
Margaret, Lyd's mother, wrote a book about Buddy, our beagle we got from a Virginia SPCA. At 99, she is still going strong. In April she went with us to Walt Disney World and will join us again in April of 2011. In September, we're going to celebrate her 100th birthday.
Medically, we were OK. Tom replaced Hip #2, the right one, in February. Our glasses are a little thicker and Tom now takes Insulin for his diabetes
We joined the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) and took Kate, Sal and Nico to the Bay Lake Tower at Disney World in October. We plan to take the family back every two years.
Our cultural activities included Salisbury Community Players productions of Tom, Dick and Harry, and Jekyll and Hyde We also drove up to DC to see Mary Poppins at the Kennedy Center.
Tom had Jury Duty
We went to see the family on 4/4, 7/4, 7/28, 9/18, 10/31 and they came to see us on 2/5, 3/5, 6/10, 8/29, 11/13, 12/27.
We finally sold the Jacksonville house.

In 2011, we'll be back at Walt Disney World in February, April and June. We're going to take Margaret to the Kennedy Center in DC for "Wicked" in the summer. Lyd and I are going to the Grand Canyon next September.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, 2011
