We had meat loaf with baked potatoes for dinner with a bottle of primitive. In the evening, we watched the first quarter of the Falcons at the Eagles, and, at 2050, it’s 68o. The Eagles ended up losing 21-22.

At noon, we started our first rotisserie-style chicken with an 8-pound bird in the Breville oven, which turned out quite well. This, coupled with the bread pudding and some al dente Brussels Sprouts was dinner. We watched NFL games all day until, in the evening, finishing Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Fri, Sep 13 At 0758, it’s 61o. We did some menu planning, and, at 1135, Josh, the roofer, inspected the roof and, with our authorization, began work. He’ll secure supplies and finish the job Monday, or Tuesday. Lyd had pizza for lunch, and I finished the snow crab. We had naps. We had Coquille St. Jacque for dinner with brussels sprouts, red cabbage and a bottle of prosecco. In the evening, we started Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales. At 2050, it’s 68o.
Thu, Sep 12 At 0712, it’s 54o. We cancelled lunch out. Though Gus said he was coming around 9, he didn’t. At 11, Gus said he was leaving Allentown. He wasn’t. We had grilled cheese for lunch. At 1300, Gus says he’s leaving Allentown. A call from Campanella eye Associates produces appointments for both with Dr. Loeb on 10/23. At 1500, Gus found the cupola on the garage rook peak is leaking. He will send a roofer tomorrow to inspect and estimate. We had snow crab for dinner and then finished Pirates 4. At 2050, it’s 65o.

A crew from PPL reports the line has been cut again to the streetlight and it will be a while before it’s repaired. Kate dropped in for a visit, and D called to ask for help with the Cross Country team’s fundraiser. We had oil-poached flounder with spaghetti squash and brussels sprouts for dinner, and watched Come From Away on Apple TV in the evening. At 2115, it’s 65o.

Mon, Sep 9 At 0740, it’s 49o. We made garlic wings using the air fryer function of the new Breville. Though Lyd found them a bit salty, I thought them the best ever. We had Orange Roasted Chicken Thighs for dinner, but they weren’t worth the trouble and we won’t do that again. In the evening, we started Pirates of the Caribbean 3: On Stranger Tides. Sat, Sep 7 At 0701, it’s 65o, and, with rain in the forecast, we closed the bedroom windows. I completed our weekly marketing. We had a veggie pizza from Kimberton that wasn’t very good. The rain started just after noon and we both had naps. We watched Army win over Florida Atlantic, Navy win over Temple, but Air Force lose to San Jose State. We had Sweet and Sour Pot Roast with Red Cabbage, German Potato Salad and MAN Pinotage for dinner. At 2038, it’s 60o.
Fri, Sep 6 At 0800, it’s 64o. We made cheesy lavash bread, which wasn’t as good as the one we had in Milwaukee, and a batch of Rhubarb Crisp, which was much better. We had a shrimp Newburg for dinner with a bottle of Primitivo and then watched a portion of the Eagles v the Packers from Brazil, eventually won by the Eagles, 34-29. At 2050, it’s 67o.

At 1830, I opened the Zoom room for family game night, but without Sal. Later, we watched a portion of the Chiefs v Ravens game. At 2100, it’s 72o.

Tue, Sep 3 At 0653, it’s 47o. I offered the boys a ride to school, but they already had one. We went to lunch at Plaza Azteca. We came home to naps. I awoke to find 700+ emails - - hacked. A-Plus helped me to change passwords and I processed and deleted all the bad emails. The new Breville oven arrived. We snacked for dinner and continued Pirates of The Caribbean 3: At World's End. Mon, Aug 19 At 0638, it’s 71o with rain in the night. I am symptom free. I had an appointment with my Cardiologist, Sierra, but her office refused the appointment and rescheduled it to Friday. I stopped at McDonalds and picked up an egg McMuffin for Lyd and hashbrowns for me. Lyd had a video conference which provided reassurance. We reprised the capellini and sausages for dinner with a bottle of Jim Jam Shiraz, and, in the evening, watched Show White and the Seven Dwarfs. At 2100, it’s 70o.

Tue, Jul 9 At 0626, it’s 72o. At 0830, the carpet installers began the removal of the old carpet. They noted that mismeasurements did not include the steps, so they do not have sufficient carpet to do the steps, today. Lyd will re-evaluate and determine if the steps need to be done. The guys finished about 1550, including the steps, and the carpet is great; much thicker than the rest of the upstairs. We elected to skip lunch out, and had leftovers. We had filets, with scalloped potatoes and lima beans for dinner, preceded by foie gras. In the evening, we started the last episode of Winds of War. At 2100, it’s 81o, and we’re still in the double-bed room.

At 0830, 2 guys from Omega Builders emptied the master bedroom of all the furniture in an hour, in preparation for carpeting. Lyd made BLTs for lunch. We had naps in the afternoon and had leftover chicken enchiladas with sauteed cabbage and the last bottle of Relax Riesling for dinner. We finished episode 6 of the Winds of War. Kate dropped in for a brief visit. I completed our dinner reservations in Toronto and Milwaukee for the beginning and end of the Great Lakes Cruise. We had snow crab legs for dinner preceded by an ear of corn and supplemented by a bottle of Dr. Loosen. Lyd napped in the evening while I watched more of Winds of War. At 2105, it’s 80o.

We had grilled corn beef sandwiches for lunch and Lyd made a batch of toll house cookies with both milk chocolate and butterscotch bits. Following afternoon naps, we had little interest in dinner and just snacked. In the evening, we finished the Downton Abbey franchise with the 2nd movie. At 2130, it’s 69o and we’ve opened the bedroom windows.

We had Asian soup for lunch. In the afternoon, Tennessee won game #2 of the College World Series, so it will go to a game 3 tomorrow. SKDL reported the theatre at Kinky Boots had lost all A/C and was beastly hot. We had chicken, sausage and potatoes, and green beans for dinner. In the evening, we finished Season 5 of Downton Abbey. Duke beat Clemson, 4-3 in the ACC Softball Tournament, and the FSU girls beat Ga Tech 10-2 to meet Duke, tomorrow for the final. The FSU boys lost to Pitt 1-0. We watched 2 episodes of Young Sheldon and So Help Me Todd. At 2103, it’s 50.

Lots of cars parked on the west side of Logan Ave. We had chicken mozzarella with brussels sprouts and cranberry sauce for dinner, with a bottle of prosecco. Fri, Jan 26 At 0745, it’s 46o with light rain. I had an appointment with Dr. Campanella, Ophthalmologist, and my IOP are 15/15. We stopped at McDonalds on the way home. We had naps in the afternoon, but little interest in dinner. In the evening, we watched 5 Frasiers. At 2125, it’s 46o.
Thu, Jan 25 At 0752, it’s 41o in a light rain. We went to Chico’s. From there it was on to Masa, where Nia was our server. We then went down to the PA Dutch Farmers Market. We bought beets for us and tomatoes for Leo. Lyd selected a bird house at Lil’s Bakery, and I picked out some spice drops at Meme’s Chocolate. On the way home, we dropped off the tomatoes to Sal. At 1600, the clock man from Lititz clock repair took the grand mother’s clock and Kate’s clock and will overhaul both. My questionnaire from the Federal Court was submitted. At 2115, it's 48o.
Wed, Jan 24 At 0640, it’s 37o, with rain in the forecast. At 0830, Lyd had a dental appointment and her permanent crown on #19 was added. Kate had her shoulder “scraped” in an effort to correct her rotator cuff problem. We finished our Brewers leftovers for lunch. We had naps in the afternoon with a light rain. We had leftover weiner schnitzel and zucchini gratin for dinner and finished the first half of the NCIS: Sydney season before switching to Frasier. At 2115, it’s 39o in a light rain.
Tue, Jan 23 At 0733, it’s 31o. At 0930, I at an initial appointment with Dr. J. Peter Barrett, DPM. We went to lunch at Brewer’s Bar and Grill. We came home to naps. With no interest in dinner, we snacked and then watched episodes of Frasier. At 2110, it’s 37.
Mon, Jan 22 At 0744, it’s 11o. At 0845. Lyd had a dermatologist appointment and saw Rachel Jones at the West Lawn office. We had hearty borscht for lunch, followed by naps. At 2110, it’s 28o.
Sun, Jan 21 At 0740, it’s 21o and we used the fireplace, again. Lyd made borscht for lunch, and, after naps, we watched NFL divisional games. Detroit beat Tampa Bay 31-23 and we had Tomgolian BBQ over rice from the freezer. We watched 3 quarters of the Chiefs over the Bills, and, at 2100, it’s 20o.
Sat, Jan 20 At 0712, it’s 15o and Holly weighs 14.9 lbs. I completed our weekly marketing and Lyd made Layered Mexican Dip. We snacked for lunch with my finishing the shrimp cocktail. A little after 2 we went over to SKDL. We were home by 1830, watching the Ravens beat the Texans, 34-10. We watched one Frasier, and then a portion of the 49ers, eventually, beating the Packers, 24-21. At 2105, it’s 23o.
Fri, Jan 19 At 0731, it’s 27o, snowing and school is closed again today. We had lentil soup with Groove crackers for lunch. We had naps in the afternoon and made ginger beef over Asian noodles for dinner, but the meat was a little tough. At 2030, ExpressLawn cleared the snow while we watched episodes of Frasier. At 2115, it’s 25.
Thu, Jan 18 At 0706, it’s 15o. We had snacks for lunch and napped in the afternoon. I made pesto sauce from the basil and parsley in our garden and we had that over angel hair pasta for dinner. In the evening, we watched more episodes of Frasier, and, at 2105, it’s 30o with snow in the forecast.
Wed, Jan 17 At 0730, it’s 8o. Friday’s forecast is for more snow. Joe and Pat Migala arrived at 1130 and Lyd served a lunch of Seafood Newberg, sliced ham and steamed broccoli. Shortly after lunch, Kate dropped in and Pat discovered their current foster puppy had gotten out into the back yard, so they left. We had naps. Dinner was Lamb Albondiga. In the evening, after a few episodes of Frasier, it’s 19o.
Tue, Jan 16 At 0620, it’s 25o and we got about 4” of snow. Schools went to Flexible Instruction. At 0700, the streets were plowed but slushy as we headed for Grove Dental and Lyd’s crown preparation. It continued to snow, lightly, and we were home at 0930 and Lyd napped. We had hot dogs for lunch. At 1400, we were plowed out. We had boiled shrimp for dinner and watched Frasier episodes in the evening. At 2100, it’s 19o.
Mon, Jan 15 At 0752, it’s 23o with 2-5” of snow in the forecast for tonight. We finished the Senate Bean Soup for lunch. The Bills beat the Steelers and we had Andoullie Sausage Skillet & Butternut Squash for dinner with a bottle of Kanonkop Pinotage. In the evening, it started snowing, gently, at 2000, expecting 4-7” and we watched a portion of The Eagles at the Bucs. At 2110, it’s 26, snowing, and the Eagles are down 13-3, early in the 2nd quarter, eventually losing 32-9.
Sun, Jan 14 At 0710, it’s 79o. We finished the tuna salad and had Senate Bean Soup for lunch. SKDL arrived at 1400, and the boys brought the Hogwarts Castle up from the dungeon. We 6 watched The Fifth Element. We had chicken tetrazzini for dinner and then watched 3 episodes of Frasier. At 2100, it’s 25o.
Sat, Jan 13 At 0717, it’s 50o. The boys came down around 0900, had an English muffin and then walked home. Holly got her first bath, in the kitchen sink. We had tuna fish salad for lunch, followed by naps. We completed Step 21 of the Home Alone House. We had leftover teriyaki ribs and tater tots and chucked the ribs, adding nasty comments to the recipe. In the evening, we watched more episodes of Frasier. At 2100, it’s 36o.
Fri, Jan 12 At 0759, it’s 28o. We made Jewish Mexican Fried Rice for lunch and had large naps. SK dropped off DL on their way to a Dermatology event at the Philadelphia Country Club. The boys took all the Christmas stuff down to the basement and we served filet mignons, mashed potatoes, whole green beans followed by ice cream for dessert. In the evening, we watched Miss Congeniality, and, at 2110, it’s 43o.
Thu, Jan 11 At 0643, it’s 40o. Cara came at 7 and cleaned. We went to Outback Steakhouse for lunch. We came home to naps. We had Lentil Soup for dinner. At 1830, I opened the Zoom Room for the family At 2111, it’s 40o.
Wed, Jan 10 At 0718, it’s 46o. Lyd made Lentil Soup and Shrimp Jambalaya. Kate dropped in for a brief visit. Changes on the CAC website report it has been moved to Universal Studios. We had Shrimp Jambalaya for dinner with a bottle of Dr. Loosen and then watched Down Periscope. At 2115, it’s 46o.
Tue, Jan 9 At 0642, it’s 32o with nasty weather in the forecast, but no snow accumulation. We skipped lunch out and had burgers and chips, instead. It started raining, heavily, around 1100. We had hot chicken salad and romaine splits for dinner and then, in the evening, watched 4 Frasiers. At 2100, it’s 53o and still pouring!
Mon, Jan 8 At 0803, it’s 37o. I completed our Weekly Marketing and we had vegetable beef soup and Masa sushi for lunch, followed by naps. We took down most of the Christmas Decorations and had leftover London broil for dinner, the remains of which will go to Holly. In the evening, we watched the first half of Michigan v Washington, won by Michigan 34-13. At 2118, it’s 28o.
Sun, Jan 7 At 0701, it’s 34o. At 1100, ExpressLawn cleared our walks and driveway. At 1145, SKDL picked us up and we went to Masa to celebrate Sal’s birthday back in November. KDL came back for a short visit and to play with Holly. At 1630, the Eagles lost to the Giants to finish the season. In evening, we watched 5 episodes of Frasier, and, at 2105, it’s 38o.
Sat, Jan 6 At 0700, it’s 27o. By 0800, I competed our ADR at WDW for March. We changed our August cabin. The snow started about 11, but only amounted to about an inch. We had omelets for dinner. In the evening, we watched 4 more episodes of Frasier. At 2102, it’s 33o.
Fri, Jan 5 At 0717. It’s 21o, and the Paynes are here. Bill, Vicki, and Rudy left at 1230 headed back to West Virginia and we both had naps. At 1500, the weekend snow forecast is now for about 3.5”. I have decided to postpone weekly marketing to Monday. With no interest in dinner, we snacked and then watched episodes of Frasier. At 2120, it’s 26o.
